I was sent to a club in Roxbury late one evening to photograph the legendary Solomon Burke. Both a preacher, and performer, who shaped the sound of rhythm and blues and (according to Wikipedia) one of the founding fathers of soul music in the 1960s. One of the live shots became an album cover for Rounder Records.
He died in 2010.
