After ten centuries of burying people in the “cemetery of Innocent,” in 1786, all the remains of 6 million Parisians were moved to a quarry under the city.  The bones were laid out in a “romantico-macabre” decoration.

There is little lighting, and tripods and flash are prohibited. Here’s one of my photos for your macabre fascination:
